Assistant Manager, Production - Sheet Metal Nights (HVAC)

Location: Longview, TX; full-time onsite work in a manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and control production activities for sheet metal operations on the night shift.
• Direct team members and ensure work is completed according to priorities, budgets, quality standards, and deadlines.
• Oversee quality control and enforce safety policies in the manufacturing environment.
• Manage inventory, materials, tools, equipment parts, and production resources.
• Train and cross-train employees, identify potential leaders, evaluate performance, and administer improvement plans when needed.
• Analyze reports, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other departments to improve workflows and production processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in production or manufacturing.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to quality, decision-making, troubleshooting, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to attend or conduct production meetings and build a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work around extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and regularly climb, stoop, walk, and sit for prolonged periods.

Nice to have

• Education beyond the high school diploma or GED.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Leadership training courses.
• RCRA, DOT, or 608 Universal Refrigerant certification where applicable.
