What you will do
- Act as the liaison between Production and Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Investigate unit assembly, component fit, bill of material, and electrical/mechanical diagram discrepancies.
- Manage daily activities supporting manufacturing and respond to line calls.
- Collaborate with engineers, management, and shop personnel to develop production and design standards.
- Create or revise component part specification sheets and review product designs against company standards and specifications.
- Travel when necessary for cross-training at locations or product reviews at field test sites.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to read gauges, perform basic testing, use mathematical skills, and understand technical manuals and instructions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to use power tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and sit or stand for up to 95% of working hours.
- Ability to work onsite in the manufacturing facility on a rotating 4/10 schedule, including Monday–Thursday or Thursday–Sunday shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Nice to have
- Relevant HVAC industry experience.
- Completion of an HVAC program or another technical degree.
