Actuarial Analyst

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work with in-person initial training and the ability to work from home up to 3 days per week. Candidates must be able to work in the Lansing home office from time to time.

What you will do

• Create pricing plans supporting growth and profitability objectives.
• Evaluate frequency, severity, and premium trends to project future losses from historical data.
• Learn and apply insurance manuals and actuarial principles.
• Organize and provide management reports to support decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues in writing and verbally.
• Participate in formal and informal training sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• Strong aptitude for mathematics and actuarial sciences.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, R, or other programming, database, or statistical languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
