Actuarial Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Support the Commercial Contract Bind Underwriting Team across small commercial property, liability, garage, and excess insurance.
• Produce profitability studies and communicate findings and proposed rate changes to underwriting leadership.
• Develop pricing and underwriting strategies with underwriting partners and identify profitable growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with programming and IT to implement rate changes and build portfolio monitoring reports.
• Support annual planning and evaluate monthly actual-versus-expected performance at the pricing-segment level.
• Monitor loss trends, regulatory and industry changes, and underwriting actions affecting current and future loss ratios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience; pricing experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong time-management and customer-focus skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages is preferred.
• Availability for primarily in-office work in Atlanta, Georgia.
