RN - Infusion (Oncology)

Southern Cancer Center provides oncology care and clinical services for cancer patients.

What you will do

• Assess patients, document nursing interventions, and coordinate continuity of care.
• Administer medications and blood products while completing authorizations and consent documentation.
• Perform venipuncture, access ports, maintain central lines, and modify doses according to protocols.
• Educate patients and families, provide psychosocial support, and triage patient calls.
• Support examinations, procedures, scheduling, referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient flow.
• Program and instruct patients on portable infusion pumps and document pump cleaning and usage.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a BSN is preferred.
• Active RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification and compliance with continuing education requirements.
• 0–3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work with oncology-related hazardous substances and medical preparations.
