Factory Order Writer (AutoCAD)

Location: Monett, Missouri, United States; full-time, primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor

What you will do

• Enter customer orders and retrieve product and process information.
• Develop product knowledge covering architectural metals, framing materials, and associated products.
• Generate complete, accurate, and timely production documents for fabrication using AutoCAD, ERP, and other applicable tools.
• Review internally produced and customer-supplied shop drawings.
• Identify issues and communicate them to the project lead.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing teams while meeting quality and delivery expectations.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of experience in fabrication or assembly of window, curtainwall, or storefront products, or formal AutoCAD training/software proficiency.
• Alternatively, one or more years of experience in design drafting commercial or residential window, curtainwall, or storefront products.
• Strong verbal and written communication, mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to visualize designs in 3-D.
• Ability to navigate shop drawings, work independently or collaboratively, and manage tasks quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments, work additional hours when needed, and lift up to 10 pounds.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD, bill of materials, ERP or configurator tools, Acrobat, SharePoint Workflow, and engineering tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and experience navigating an ERM.
