Manufacturing Engineer I

Location: Memphis, TN, United States; onsite work in office and factory environments

What you will do

• Assist with designing, developing, and evaluating integrated systems for industrial production processes.
• Improve workflows, support design for manufacturability, analyze capacity, and evaluate process changes.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production personnel for assembly, component fit, and process issues.
• Maintain process specifications, work instructions, process flow maps, and quality control documentation.
• Evaluate equipment layouts, expenditures, production processes, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, quality teams, other departments, and customers; provide initial training for new equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
• Basic knowledge of CAD; AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solid Edge is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of organizational tools such as Gantt charts.
• Effective written and spoken communication, interpersonal, decision-making, analytical problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit or stand for up to 95% of working hours; periodic exposure to heat, cold, dust, chemical fumes, loud noise, and industrial equipment.

• Internship experience with an emphasis on manufacturing activities.
• Education beyond the minimum degree requirement.
