What you will do

• Perform detailed design for 12kV through 345kV substations, including physical layouts, one-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
• Produce comprehensive engineering design packages in accordance with AES Ohio and industry standards (IEEE, NERC).
• Develop procurement specifications for materials and services and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Provide technical engineering support to field crews during construction and maintenance activities.
• Assist in the planning, design, and construction management of substation projects.
• Maintain internal design standards and support after-hours storm restoration efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Must be based in or able to work fully on-site in Dayton, OH.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bentley MicroStation or similar CAD software.
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
• Familiarity with electrical substation equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and relays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access).
