Network Administrator (Telecommunications Specialist)

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work possible up to 3 days per week from home after in-person training.

What you will do

• Administer networks across two data centers, the Home Office campus, and branch offices.
• Troubleshoot routers, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, WAN acceleration devices, firewalls, and network connections.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network equipment upgrades.
• Coordinate with contracted companies servicing remote branches.
• Prepare proposals and recommendations for network enhancements.
• Administer voice systems and perform occasional maintenance outside normal business hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field with a focus on Networking Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with network administration, Cisco IOS or NX-OS, dynamic routing protocols, data center technologies, and firewalls.
• Experience with VoIP phone systems and communications collaboration suites.
• Strong customer service, communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivation and a proven history of developing technical skills.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Network administration certifications or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with TACACS, NAC, Cisco ACI, and Cisco ISE.
