Network Field Engineer (Cisco)

What you will do

• Monitor day-to-day operations of LAN and WAN data networks within the assigned scope.
• Provide technical assistance and resolve network and application performance issues.
• Plan, implement, and support complex network upgrades and improvements using Cisco equipment.
• Monitor network installation, maintenance, and monitoring systems for client environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure groups and end users to troubleshoot enterprise network performance.
• Participate in break/fix activities and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of in-depth troubleshooting experience with LANs, firewalls, routers, PCs, and printers.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, and network services.
• Ability to analyze networks, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience engineering network solutions based on Cisco equipment, including intermediate- to advanced-complexity environments.
• Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation using Visio and related tools.
• Associate’s degree or vocational technical training preferred; 1–5 years of study toward CCNA certification required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• ServiceNow experience.
