Senior Underwriter, Marine

What you will do

• Drive profitable marine business growth across sales, underwriting, operations, and portfolio management.
• Identify growth opportunities, new business segments, and product opportunities through strategic planning.
• Manage distribution channels, strengthen existing relationships, and develop new producer partnerships.
• Maintain key relationships with major clients and support renewal preservation, operational efficiency, and compliance.
• Prepare financial forecasts and monthly business reviews with senior leadership.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the underwriting team while maintaining active prospecting listings and underwriting standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of underwriting or relevant market experience, including experience in a management position.
• Marine underwriting expertise, particularly in Marine Cargo and Marine Liability.
• Strong leadership skills and confidence in leading and growing the business.
• Strong local market and industry knowledge with international experience.
• Good marketing, communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
• University degree or equivalent preferred.
