What you will do
- Assess medical, financial, and other risk data to deliver accurate and well-governed HNW underwriting decisions.
- Support clients and strengthen market presence through industry committees, presentations, and engagement with the HNW insurance community.
- Conduct underwriting reviews and audits, recommending improvements to technical decisions, underwriting standards, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor portfolios through data analysis and trend reviews, coordinating specialist resources where further assessment is needed.
- Contribute HNW underwriting expertise to product development, quoting, and sustainable client solutions.
- Engage stakeholders across underwriting, claims, medical, and other cross-functional teams while leading Global and Asia Market Unit projects.
Requirements
- 7+ years of HNW underwriting experience in insurance or reinsurance, including complex risk assessment and disciplined decision-making.
- Deep knowledge of Life & Health insurance and reinsurance, HNW underwriting principles, distribution models, and products.
- University degree or equivalent qualification in insurance, business, financial services, law, or a medical discipline.
- Experience with underwriting reviews and audits, stakeholder influence, collaboration, and client feedback.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills required.
Nice to have
- ACII or LOMA qualification.
- Asia regional or international HNW market experience.
- Cantonese proficiency; Mandarin proficiency is a strong asset.
