First Line Risk & Control Analyst (Banking)

What you will do

• Support and execute first-line risk programs and business-unit risk activities in line with the company’s risk appetite and corporate strategy.
• Prepare and execute risk and control updates by collecting data, facilitating process-review meetings, and refreshing documentation.
• Review policies and procedures to create process maps and narratives.
• Identify risks and controls, assess the control environment, and document mitigation measures or gaps.
• Work with risk subject matter experts on third-party, regulatory, legal, and other risk factors and issues.
• Coordinate communication between the Risk Management department and business units.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, or a similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of commercial banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, or related products and services.
• Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, regulations, industry standards, and practices.
• Experience documenting process maps in process-mapping software and identifying risks and controls.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
