Business Banking Specialist

Location: Work From Home in Michigan, United States; occasional travel may be required for team collaboration sessions and client-facing activities.

Pay range: $28.95–$47.54 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end onboarding for newly acquired business banking clients.
• Coordinate account opening, KYC/BSA documentation, system setup, and client transitions.
• Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for assigned clients, handling account maintenance, online banking support, and product inquiries.
• Coordinate with Business Development Officers, Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Legal, Operations, Treasury Management, and Payments teams.
• Maintain client records, CRM activity logs, pipeline information, and compliance documentation.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities, generate internal referrals, and support client retention efforts.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in banking, financial services, or a client-facing support role.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve client issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with banking systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to follow bank policies, regulatory requirements, risk controls, and compliance procedures.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in business or commercial banking operations and client servicing.
• Knowledge of deposits, lending, treasury management, payments, commercial loan documentation, and credit support.
• Experience with client onboarding, KYC/BSA documentation, account administration, or pod-based coverage models.
• Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities and generate internal referrals.
