Multi-Specialty Profee and/or Facility Medical Coder

What you will do

• Analyze and interpret complex medical records to identify billable services.
• Assign and sequence accurate ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Ensure coding compliance with third-party payer requirements.
• Request clarification when documentation is conflicting or non-specific.
• Review coding-related payer denials and recommend claim resolutions based on payer guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of inpatient and outpatient professional medical coding experience in multi-specialty practices, and/or at least 2 years of relevant facility coding experience.
• Facility coding experience in clinics and laboratory/radiology is mandatory; emergency department, observation, same-day surgery, and inpatient experience is relevant.
• CPC, CCS, or CCS-P certification is required.
• Effective communication, analytical, research, and attention-to-detail skills.
