Vocational Nursing Instructor (Per Diem Saturdays)

Location: South San Francisco, California, USA; campus-based position with visits to clinical sites

Salary: $46–$51 per hour

What you will do

• Teach vocational nursing lecture courses and clinical rotations at varying times and locations, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and clinical compliance records.
• Submit program reports and support data collection by required deadlines.
• Participate in professional development, committees, and ongoing updates to nursing practice and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with a BSN and 3 years of nursing experience, or an associate degree and 6 years of nursing experience.
• Current nursing licensure in the state where teaching takes place and eligibility under the Board of Nursing faculty requirements.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with current knowledge and experience in clinical nursing practice.
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings and work independently.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification.
• Ability to obtain ATI Certification within 30 days of hire; certification is provided by Unitek.
