Mercury Marine: Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Co-op

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite. Relocation is available. Full-time co-op terms run January–August 2027 or May–December 2027.

Pay: $18.00–$27.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Participate in design reviews to improve the manufacturability of new parts and operations.
• Evaluate test and production data, prepare technical analyses, and recommend manufacturing methods and processes.
• Design, plan, and conduct process-improvement and cost-reduction studies for new and current products.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities, identify new vendor processes, and conduct tests to qualify processes for production.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems, support production execution, and maintain daily production schedules.
• Communicate recommendations and collaborate with managers, supervisors, technicians, and production employees.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant degree with a manufacturing engineering emphasis.
• At least second-semester sophomore standing with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time, 40 or more hours per week for a full co-op term.
• Ability to enroll in a formal co-op program through the university.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and engaged approach to learning.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
