Operations Electrical Superintendent (Solar)

Location: San Diego, CA; primarily office-based or on site at various job sites, with heavy travel and partial remote work. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Salary: $161,767–$215,151 per year

What you will do

• Supervise electrical construction projects through successful completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and mechanical and civil leaders to resolve issues and meet project objectives.
• Conduct constructability reviews and develop solutions for electrical scopes.
• Contribute to CPM schedules, cost estimates, proposals, project planning, and cost control.
• Lead subcontractor meetings, inspections, audits, punch-list tracking, and progress reporting to executive leadership.
• Enforce LOTO procedures, approve energized electrical work permits, and support the development of future field leaders.

Requirements

• Operations management experience and extensive electrical construction experience; 15 years preferred, including 10 years in a supervisory role.
• Five years of utility-scale solar construction experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and IEEE standards and codes.
• Experience with scheduling, planning, expediting, cost control, MV testing and terminations, and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of PV solar systems, DC cable systems, underground electrical installations, inverter skids, and electrical testing and commissioning.
• Valid current driver's license and U.S. work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship.
