Environmental Compliance and Regulatory Consultant (Environmental Compliance): Supporting environmental compliance, remediation, monitoring, and regulatory reporting for DOE EM Hanford in a high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment with an accent on RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, and regulator-ready documentation. Focus on interpreting environmental regulations, performing data QA/QC, producing compliance packages, and providing strategic recommendations for safety, environment, and quality oversight.

Location: Predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, United States, with some remote support subject to approval.

What you will do

  • Support RCRA, CERCLA, and NEPA compliance activities for DOE Environmental Management and the Hanford Field Office.
  • Conduct environmental compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide environmental regulatory consulting and strategic recommendations.
  • Interpret regulations and support data quality assurance and quality control.
  • Produce regulator-ready environmental compliance packages.
  • Support safety, environment, and quality program and project management activities.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of environmental compliance or remediation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
  • HAZWOPER qualification.
  • Experience with regulatory interpretation and data QA/QC.
  • Risk awareness and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
