What you will do
- Conduct and manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform environmental investigations covering soil, groundwater, vapor, and hazardous materials.
- Lead site reconnaissance, field investigations, sampling, monitoring, and environmental data analysis.
- Coordinate subcontractors, drilling contractors, laboratories, and project vendors.
- Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, work plans, proposals, and cost proposals.
- Manage schedules, budgets, client expectations, regulatory communications, and relationships while supporting junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- At least three years of experience with environmental site assessments, investigations, and related consulting services.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM E1527-21 and environmental due diligence practices.
- Experience managing environmental projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, communication, Microsoft Word, and Excel skills, with the ability to work independently in office and field environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with public agencies, municipalities, utilities, industrial clients, or private-sector clients.
- Industrial hygiene experience, including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, or indoor air quality projects.
- Experience with environmental compliance programs, permitting, audits, stormwater, air quality, spill prevention, or regulatory reporting.
- Professional credentials such as PG, PE, CEM, or similar certifications.
- Familiarity with local and regional environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
