Maintenance Shop Technician A (Heavy-Duty Trucks)

Location: Gardena, California, USA; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel heavy-duty trucks and refuse equipment.
• Service chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical controls, air and hydraulic brakes, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
• Perform engine repair, diesel fuel-system diagnostics, and aftertreatment and REGEN diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical and multi-system issues using scan tools and other electronic equipment.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication on-site and on the road.
• Complete company training and other related maintenance duties.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
• Ability to independently inspect and repair several heavy-truck or automotive systems, including suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, or diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8 are advantageous but not required.
• LNG/CNG experience and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not required.
