Materials Engineering Co-op (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at Plant 17 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States. Full-time, 40 or more hours per week, from January through August or May through December 2027. Relocation is available.

Salary: $18.00–$27.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Test the chemical properties of alloys used in production casting processes.
• Analyze chemical properties of aluminum and tool steel.
• Own and manage assigned manufacturing projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with operations leaders, supervisors, technicians, production operators, and engineering colleagues across multiple plants.
• Develop and edit operating procedures.

Requirements

• Currently authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant degree with a controls, systems, or analytics emphasis.
• At least second-semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time, 40 or more hours per week, during one of the specified 2027 co-op periods.
• Ability to enroll in a formal co-op program through a university.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds; dependable, self-motivated, and engaged.
