Materials Engineering Co-op (Marine Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at Plant 17 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States. Relocation is available. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; the position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay: $18.00–$27.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Test chemical properties of alloys used in production casting processes.
• Analyze chemical properties of aluminum and tool steel.
• Own and manage assigned projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with operations leaders, supervisors, technicians, production operators, and engineering colleagues across multiple plants.
• Develop and edit operating procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant degree with a controls, systems, or analytics emphasis.
• At least second-semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time, 40 or more hours per week, during January–August or May–December 2027.
• Ability to enroll in a formalized co-op program through the university.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and engaged learner.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
