What you will do

• Provide technical assistance across process, continuous improvement, manufacturing, design, development, applications, and quality engineering.
• Research manufacturing process issues and support production-line improvements through time studies, value-stream mapping, process changes, and validation on the manufacturing floor.
• Analyze manufacturing data, process flows, and material routings and report improvement recommendations to management.
• Assist Development Engineers with product design and production.
• Design, develop, and build test fixtures for fiber optic testing, perform testing and inspection, and troubleshoot product design and processing anomalies.
• Create CAD drawings and 3-D models of concept designs, submit designs to suppliers for quotation, and participate in fiber optic training.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least Sophomore standing with a minimum 2.75 GPA.
• Willingness to learn and a detail-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis software programs, and CAD software.
