Engineering Co-Op (Medical Devices)

Location: Glens Falls, New York, United States; onsite role

Salary: $21.25–$30.75 hourly

hirify.global is a large healthcare organization manufacturing fluid delivery devices, custom kits, and other medical products through its Namic division.

What you will do

• Coordinate and execute activities to qualify devices for the Glens Falls facility.
• Support product integration, product development, process development, process improvements, and process validations.
• Analyze production bottlenecks, verify labor standards, conduct time studies, and perform cost-benefit analyses.
• Conduct laboratory testing for process validations and feasibility studies.
• Submit engineering change notices and update process documentation and product drawings.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal divisions about device costs, drawings, BOMs, and packaging.

Requirements

• Background in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
• Junior standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, organization, communication, data analysis, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles preferred.
• Knowledge of database applications such as Access or FoxPro is a plus.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization required.
