Location: Newark, NJ, USA

Salary: USD 65,000–103,000 yearly, with additional opportunities to earn up to USD 7,000 annually in performance-based pay.

What you will do

• Create, internalize, modify, and prepare lesson plans aligned with the academic curriculum.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, students, families, and colleagues to support student progress.
• Use academic data, diagnostic testing, and progress monitoring to teach skills to mastery.
• Track student performance and adjust teaching strategies to ensure learning objectives are met.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in school, departmental, parent, and extracurricular meetings and events.

Requirements

• Experience demonstrating success and exceptional student achievement in the classroom.
• Subject matter expertise in English Language Arts, history, math, science, enrichment, or special education.
• Commitment to supporting students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
• For general education candidates: valid New Jersey teaching certification or eligibility through the stated GPA and Praxis requirements.
