Associate Director - Transmission (Geotechnical Engineering)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; flexibility to work from home or in an office environment. Travel up to 10% of the time.

Compensation: $122,000–$182,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead procurement efforts for renewable power generation projects and client opportunities against revenue goals.
• Build and maintain internal and external client relationships, including face-to-face meetings.
• Develop scopes of work and support proposals for moderate to complex transmission and power infrastructure projects.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team while coordinating staff, resources, and workloads.
• Manage contracts, project risks, schedules, budgets, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Prepare and review geotechnical engineering analyses, reports, professional opinions, and practical solutions; resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration or license required; licensure in multiple additional states will also be required.
• At least 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience in transmission or power infrastructure.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, customer service, and leadership skills.
• Fundamental understanding of geology, geologic stability, and performance mechanisms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint; valid driver’s license and clean driving history required.
