What you will do

• Analyze transmission grids to identify optimal interconnection points for solar, storage, and wind projects.
• Conduct automated power flow studies using Python and specialized software to expedite analysis.
• Replicate and review generator interconnection study results in coordination with ISO/RTO entities.
• Track and participate in regional transmission planning processes to advocate for project inclusion.
• Perform nodal production modeling to evaluate congestion, curtailment, and locational marginal pricing.
• Provide technical insights and decision support for the acquisition of new generator projects.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in renewable energy development or transmission planning.
• Extensive knowledge of PJM RTEP and generator interconnection study methodologies.
• Proficiency in power flow software such as TARA and PSS/E.
• Ability to automate interconnection studies using Python or similar scripting languages.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify employer).

Nice to have

• MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with MISO, NYISO, and other regional transmission systems.
