Director Construction (Gas Power Generation)

Location: Remote within the United States with regular travel; extensive travel is required.

Salary: $215,562–$312,565 annually, determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Lead client relationships, clarify success metrics, and build strategic client alliances.
• Direct project managers and site supervision to deliver construction projects on schedule, within budget, and within corporate policies.
• Develop and enforce safety, quality, risk management, and construction best practices across project teams.
• Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, receivables, cash flow, expenses, cost-to-complete reporting, and cost control.
• Mentor project managers and develop future construction leaders through coaching, evaluations, training, and varied assignments.
• Collaborate on project staffing, team selection, wage reviews, promotions, and bonus reviews.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of directly relevant experience in utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial construction, or EPC field execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead more than one project team simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction engineering and design, electrical construction, power delivery, estimating, contracts, regulations, and cost control systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, supervisory, conflict management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera, and CTC Net; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Nice to have

• Experience with reciprocating engine power plants, aeroderivative turbine installations, simple-cycle and combined-cycle gas plants, fuel cell systems, and balance-of-plant scopes.
• Experience with pipelines, compressor and pump stations, gas processing, storage, terminals, petrochemical, refining, or other complex process facilities.
• PMP certification.
