Senior Biosolids Engineer, Water

Location: US | CO | Denver - 475 Lincoln Street (Perkins & Will); remote work indicated by the posting.

Salary: $108,000–$162,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and participate in the design of public and private wastewater projects involving biosolids treatment, digestion, thickening, dewatering, beneficial reuse, disposal, resource recovery, and biogas utilization.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, presentations, regulatory and funding applications, construction contract documents, and specifications.
• Coordinate designs with municipalities, utilities, approval agencies, stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary internal teams.
• Manage project scope, budgets, staffing, schedules, proposals, change orders, and client communications.
• Lead team members, delegate project tasks, and perform project quality assurance and quality control.
• Represent the organization at professional associations and conferences while developing biosolids technical standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• P.E. licensure with the ability to obtain reciprocity in multiple states.
• 10–15+ years of experience delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, with significant experience in biosolids treatment and handling.
• Knowledge and experience with approval processes, design guidelines, and local and provincial standards.
• Experience coordinating with clients, municipalities, agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong client focus, integrity, commitment to innovation, and ability to collaborate in diverse and inclusive teams.
