Geotechnical Project/Senior Engineer (Mission Critical)

Location: Dallas, Texas; hybrid work based out of a local office with flexibility to work from home and in the office

Salary: $88,000–$131,000 per year; up to $10,000 sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects in the mission-critical sector.
• Review field logs and soil samples, classify materials, and prepare boring logs.
• Perform engineering analyses and make geotechnical recommendations for engineering reports.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and safety for routine to complex assignments.
• Review staff work, investigate quality issues, and coordinate regional operations, staffing, and workloads.
• Support client relationships, field testing, observations, and technician training as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Professional Engineer registration or licensure.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a time-critical, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint, including creating and communicating project budgets.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed; pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report are required.

Nice to have

• Six or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
