Senior Supply Chain Manager (Manufacturing)

Operations organization focused on maintaining uninterrupted production through effective procurement and supply chain management.

What you will do

• Manage preferred supplier relationships, identify supply risks, onboard new suppliers, and improve and track supplier performance.
• Review and manage supplier contracts with support from the COO, applying sound business reasoning during negotiations and adjustments.
• Plan material demand by monitoring sales quotes, incoming orders, existing inventory, and required purchasing.
• Build internal systems that prevent material shortages, reduce waste and expiration, track material ETAs, and measure supplier delivery performance.
• Implement project cost tracking, budgeting, and purchase approval processes.
• Lead negotiations and analytics to maximize value, reduce costs, save time, and lower risk across day-to-day procurement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, contract negotiation, material or production planning, or operations management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with frequent interaction with internal and external customers.
• Experience working in startups or small teams in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments.
• Comfort working with little to no established systems or structure.
• Strong time management, multitasking, prioritization, integrity, and sense of urgency.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends when required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of finance and accounting methods for cost classification.
• Familiarity with ITAR regulations or experience in an ITAR-controlled workplace.
• Familiarity with AS9100 processes for supplier evaluation and direct or indirect material classification.
• Inventory and kitting experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
