Vocational Nursing Instructor - Full Time Evenings

Location: South San Francisco, California, USA; campus-based. Evening classes are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday clinicals run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Compensation: USD 100,000–105,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Teach LVN lecture courses and clinical rotations in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Improve instructional quality through innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and clinical requirement records.
• Submit program reports and forms on schedule and support program data collection.
• Participate in professional development and assigned committees while maintaining current licensure and knowledge.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state where teaching takes place.
• Graduation from an approved school of nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or credentials required by state regulations.
• Ability to meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Current nursing practice and clinical experience, with the ability to mentor students and manage day-to-day nursing laboratory operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
