Compensation Analyst

Location: San Antonio, TX, United States. Full-time onsite position.

What you will do

• Administer the design, implementation, and ongoing management of employee compensation programs, policies, processes, and guidelines.
• Conduct job analysis interviews and evaluations to create compliant job descriptions and assess internal equity.
• Benchmark positions against compensation surveys and market intelligence to recommend competitive salary ranges, pay rates, titles, and compensation grades.
• Analyze market and employee compensation data and prepare reports and recommendations covering base pay, variable compensation, merit, bonus, and equity programs.
• Consult with managers and Human Resources on salary planning, market trends, job structures, and organizational changes.
• Audit Workday data and review FLSA classifications and compensation structures for compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Human Resources or a related Business field is preferred.
• One to two years of experience supporting the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs or related work.
• Knowledge of compensation theory, practices, job evaluation, market analysis, and pay regulations, including FLSA.
• Experience with HCM applications is required; Workday HCM reporting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain confidentiality.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions; ability to travel locally or nationally as needed.
