Compensation Analyst (AI)

Location: New York, United States (hybrid); expected to work from the NYC office 1–2 days per week. Occasional travel may be required.

Target base salary: $94,350–$119,416 per year, plus a competitive total rewards package.

What you will do

• Perform job evaluations, market pricing, and salary band benchmarking across departments.
• Provide data-driven compensation guidance to People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
• Administer equity programs, including grants, cap table updates, employee education, and vendor platform maintenance.
• Build and evaluate AI agents and automated workflows for compensation analysis, job matching, and inquiry management.
• Support merit, promotion, and incentive compensation review cycles while auditing data for equity, consistency, and compliance.
• Maintain job structures and job families, build compensation models, and prepare compensation communications and training materials.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, equity administration, or strategic HR analytics.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including data modeling and complex functions.
• Experience using external market survey data and job evaluation methodologies.
• High discretion when handling confidential pay and equity data.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex compensation concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local pay equity regulations and compliance standards.

Nice to have

• Certified Compensation Professional designation or coursework in progress.
• Experience with compensation and equity platforms such as Workday, Carta, Greenhouse, or Lattice.
