Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Director

Location: Houston, United States; full-time, onsite role

Salary: $126,500–$254,700 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead multiple concurrent accounting advisory engagements involving capital markets transactions, complex business combinations, and other transaction events.
• Advise clients on transaction-related accounting and reporting considerations using U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and complex accounting concepts.
• Oversee technical accounting analyses, position papers, and client deliverables.
• Manage engagement economics, staffing models, and resource deployment to support efficient, high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with audit, tax, deal, and advisory teams across the deal lifecycle.
• Develop and mentor managers and senior team members while supporting practice growth and client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 9 years of professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and accounting standards.
• Experience leading multiple complex engagements and managing teams.
• Ability to maintain required professional licensure and meet client and engagement scheduling demands.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience with capital markets transactions, complex accounting consultations, or audit readiness initiatives.
• Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
