What you will do

  • Manage 4–8 Process Engineers by organizing projects, resources, milestones, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Lead process engineering activities for molded epoxy manufacturing, including sustainment, quality problem solving, failure analysis, and fatigue testing.
  • Develop sustainable processing methods, mistake-proofing approaches, process controls, audits, and monitoring systems.
  • Advance molding techniques to support growth, cost savings, new equipment installation, and operational improvement.
  • Support JDE, QMS, MES, business intelligence reporting, and data analytics systems.
  • Mentor engineers in DOE, Gage R&R, A/B testing, statistical analysis, and structured project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or another engineering discipline combined with molding process engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years of processing experience and at least 2 years of project management and leadership experience.
  • Strong experience executing Design of Experiments and A/B testing.
  • Previous molding experience, including knowledge of fluid dispensing or centralized material delivery systems monitored by distributed control systems.
  • Experience with advanced failure analysis, root cause analysis, data analysis, and operational improvement projects.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and develop engineers.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Plastics/Polymer Processing or Materials.
  • Six Sigma, Red X, or another problem-solving certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with thermoset polymers, cast resin compounds, vacuum casting, silicone molding, polymer rheology, flow simulation, DSC, TGA, and physical testing.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally across organizational levels.
