Salary: $119,500–$149,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

, through its Poco Graphite business, develops graphite and silicon carbide materials for semiconductor, industrial, biomedical, glass, and electrical discharge machining applications.
What you will do
- Develop new processes, products, and innovations for customer applications.
- Translate customer inputs into models and prototypes, and manage prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation.
- Lead cross-functional development from concept and feasibility through pilot production.
- Identify intellectual property opportunities and collaborate with the IP committee on new and existing technologies.
- Create project plans, manage schedules and budgets, track spending, and proactively address technical, cost, and delivery issues.
- Communicate project progress through documentation, notes, and presentations while coordinating with internal teams and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a similar field; a master’s degree is also acceptable with relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Application knowledge or experience in a high-tech industry such as semiconductors or aerospace.
- Experience building and maintaining internal and external relationships, with strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
- Must be able to work at the Decatur, Texas facility and must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Experience with design of experiments methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with stage-gate processes for new product introductions.
- Experience with SolidWorks, materials, and finite element analysis modeling.
