Lead Project Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Decatur, Texas, United States; based at the Decatur facility

Salary: $119,500–$149,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

hirify.global, through its Poco Graphite business, develops graphite and silicon carbide materials for semiconductor, industrial, biomedical, glass, and electrical discharge machining applications.

What you will do

• Develop new processes, products, and innovations for customer applications.
• Translate customer inputs into models and prototypes, and manage prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation.
• Lead cross-functional development from concept and feasibility through pilot production.
• Identify intellectual property opportunities and collaborate with the IP committee on new and existing technologies.
• Create project plans, manage schedules and budgets, track spending, and proactively address technical, cost, and delivery issues.
• Communicate project progress through documentation, notes, and presentations while coordinating with internal teams and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a similar field; a master’s degree is also acceptable with relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience.
• Application knowledge or experience in a high-tech industry such as semiconductors or aerospace.
• Experience building and maintaining internal and external relationships, with strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
• Must be able to work at the Decatur, Texas facility and must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with design of experiments methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with stage-gate processes for new product introductions.
• Experience with SolidWorks, materials, and finite element analysis modeling.
