After School Program Instructor (Part Time) - Middle- Oakland (26-27)

Location: Oakland, California, USA; on-site at KIPP Bridge Academy

Hourly rate: $20.92–$24.84, based on relevant experience

What you will do

• Provide homework assistance, academic support, and enrichment activities for a group of 60–80 students.
• Implement activities in academic assistance, homework club, fitness and recreation, arts, and enrichment.
• Document schedules, lesson plans, curriculum, participation, and program outcomes.
• Use positive behavior and classroom management techniques with students.
• Track daily student attendance and assist with registration, customer service, and community outreach.
• Collaborate with students, staff, parents, school personnel, and community partners while maintaining health and safety standards.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience in a youth development organization planning and supervising activities, or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• One qualifying credential or assessment: A.A. degree, B.A. degree or minimum 48 units in process, passing ETS ParaPro Assessment score of 460, or passing CBEST Exams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds, including discipline situations.
• Proficient knowledge of Google Suite applications, including Google Classroom, Hangouts, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
