Senior Material Planner (Supply Chain)

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations for space technology export regulations.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain material plans aligned with production schedules, inventory objectives, and customer delivery requirements.
• Analyze material requirements, demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply commitments to ensure material availability.
• Identify shortages, excess inventory, supply constraints, and schedule risks, then recommend recovery plans and corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, production transitions, demand fluctuations, replenishment, and material allocation.
• Maintain planning parameters, inventory records, reports, documentation, and performance metrics in ERP and MRP systems.
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, finance, and suppliers to improve planning and supplier performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, production planning, inventory management, supply planning, demand planning, and production scheduling.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems, inventory planning processes, and business reporting tools; Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent platforms are relevant.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
