Senior Production Planner (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain floor production schedules for space-related projects based on resource availability, project timelines, and customer requirements.
• Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels, coordinating with Purchasing and Manufacturing to meet customer commitments.
• Monitor production progress, address schedule deviations, and coordinate the flow of materials through internal work centers.
• Develop data-driven supply chain work statements and sequencing in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain ERP production data integrity and develop capacity-slot planning tools to assess changing demand and delivery impacts.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for capacity-based make-versus-buy decisions, forward scheduling, and lead-time analysis.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience in production planning or manufacturing operations; aerospace, space, or automotive experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Proficiency with production planning tools such as ERP and MES, plus experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and Master Production Schedule development.
