Complex Claims Director, TPA Oversight

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; primarily in the office

What you will do

• Investigate and manage complex bodily injury and third-party property damage claims, determining exposure and pursuing prompt, cost-effective resolutions.
• Evaluate coverage and liability, prepare coverage letters, direct independent adjusters, and engage coverage counsel when needed.
• Set and monitor reserves, maintain accurate claim files, process invoices, and complete required claim activities within established timelines.
• Coordinate vendors, litigation management, arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Partner with underwriters, TPA Governance, Relationship Management, and TPA Claims Financial teams on reporting, compliance, loss trends, and financial accuracy.
• Complete required state licensing examinations and continuing education requirements.

Requirements

• At least five years of general liability or auto claims experience.
• Experience handling complex, high-exposure general liability bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Advanced litigation claims management experience, including alternative dispute resolution and mediation for auto and general liability exposures.
• Strong technical expertise interpreting insurance contracts and applying claims handling procedures and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to champion technology-enabled change initiatives, improve benchmarking capabilities, and resolve challenging business problems.
