Project Manager, New Product Development (Electrical Power Equipment)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary global teams developing new and innovative products for manufacturing at G&W facilities or third parties.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, costs, quality requirements, and timing commitments.
• Coordinate resources and complete Product Realization Stage-Gate requirements.
• Identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks while managing critical path activities to accelerate timelines and reduce costs.
• Communicate project status and decisions to project teams, management, and stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Product Management, and Marketing.
• Document processes, material requirements, test results, project activities, standards, and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field is required; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in highly technical product development.
• Strong understanding of lean product development, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, Design for Excellence, Six Sigma, and Lean concepts.
• Experience with quality actions including PPAP and SPC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, facilitation, arbitration, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated ownership of tasks from cradle to grave and the ability to drive project delivery.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience developing distribution or transmission power equipment, protective relays, or custom-engineered industrial products.
