Senior AI Engineer (Applied AI Solutions)

Location: New York, New York; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $195,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect and deliver multi-step, tool-using agent systems that automate complex enterprise workflows.
• Design orchestration logic across APIs, data sources, and large language models with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Build and deploy production-grade RAG pipelines, tool integrations, and API-driven workflows.
• Lead development from zero-to-one prototypes through extensible, production-ready systems.
• Partner with business, product, design, data, and engineering stakeholders to translate workflows and business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging models, tools, and frameworks across LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience architecting and deploying end-to-end AI/ML systems in production, with ownership from problem definition through delivery.
• Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI Pipelines, Vertex AI Search, Vertex AI Model APIs, and the Gemini model family.
• Experience designing multi-step, tool-using agents and complex RAG architectures, using LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Strong Python and backend engineering skills, including APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes orchestration such as GKE, CI/CD pipelines, and integrations with external tools, APIs, and enterprise data sources.
• Ability to operate with ownership in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and design effectively around platform constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating and integrating multiple AI platforms, including Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.
• Experience integrating AI systems with Snowflake, BigQuery, SharePoint, Salesforce, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise security models, data access controls, and permission-aware system design.
• Background in client-facing, consulting, or cross-functional product environments.
