Senior AI Engineer

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; in-office 4 days per week with 1 remote day

Annual base salary: $150,000–$250,000

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable AI platforms in Python, integrating MLOps tools for model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Build LLM tooling and abstractions, including prompting frameworks, agentic workflows with LangGraph, and orchestration services.
• Collaborate with data teams on ETL pipelines, training-data preprocessing, and feature workflows for AI models.
• Develop monitoring dashboards, investigate production prompt results, and improve platform reliability and performance.
• Prototype generative AI applications and identify new product or operational use cases.
• Define unit, integration, and performance testing practices while maintaining documentation and secure AI standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production-grade AI/ML platforms or developer-focused AI tools.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python; familiarity with Java or Go, object-oriented programming, and data structures.
• Experience with LLM prompting design and agentic workflows such as LangGraph.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of MLOps principles, including CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, and metrics.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark or Kafka.
• Cloud, ML engineering, or AI tooling certifications.
• Awareness of AI ethics, bias, fairness, and data privacy protocols.
