Regional Service HSE Manager (Europe & Africa)

Location: Hemel Hempstead, UK, Wiesbaden, Germany, or Vitry, France; approximately 30% travel across the UK, Europe, and Africa.

What you will do

• Deploy and implement EHS policies, standards, and programmes across the Europe and Africa Service organisation.
• Act as the primary EHS advisor to regional service leaders and partner with engineering, field service, operations, customers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Conduct field safety assessments, audits, inspections, and risk reviews across customer sites and service operations.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action management, and business continuity planning.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive compliance with local legislation, company policies, and ISO management systems.
• Deliver EHS awareness initiatives, toolbox talks, coaching, and employee engagement programmes while sharing best practices globally.

Requirements

• Significant experience in health, safety, and environmental leadership within manufacturing or industrial automation.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent advanced EHS qualification, with professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, CRSP, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting field-based engineering, service, manufacturing, or technical operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, risk management, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ability to challenge, influence, coach, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across cultures.
• Experience working in a global matrix organisation with a hands-on, pragmatic, collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in airports, ports, government facilities, critical infrastructure, or other high-security environments.
