Senior Corporate Counsel (Construction Law)

Location: San Francisco, CA; full-time, on-site role

Salary: $200,000–$220,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Provide strategic legal and business advice to operating groups, management, and project teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, including complex construction agreements.
• Prepare responses to Requests for Qualifications and Proposals.
• Represent the organization in meetings with external parties and help resolve complex or sensitive legal issues.
• Conduct advanced legal research, oversee discovery efforts, and communicate relevant legal developments.
• Manage outside counsel and consultants, train personnel, and oversee assigned non-attorney team members.

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing in CA, CO, GA, NC, NY, OR, TX, or WA.
• At least 6 years of law firm experience, or at least 4 years of combined law firm and in-house experience.
• Knowledge of construction law, construction processes, methodologies, documents, and corporate governance principles.
• Superior analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Leadership and management ability, strong accountability, integrity, reliability, and flexibility.
• Ability to travel regularly, work under tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities and projects.
