Production Maintenance Technician II (A-Days)

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States; full-time onsite work in a manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment problems.
• Complete equipment modifications and relocations under the direction of a project leader.
• Operate maintenance and fabrication equipment, including welding machines, machining equipment, multimeters, power tools, and material lifts.
• Document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities in the designated system.
• Collaborate with production operators, maintenance staff, supervisors, and engineering to resolve equipment issues and mentor Maintenance Technician I employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance.
• 10+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably as a journeyman mechanic.
• Experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, fabrication equipment, saws, lathes, mills, and welders.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate resources and contractors, train others, and follow lockout-tagout, confined-space, and fall-protection procedures.
