VP, Chief Technology Officer (Life & Annuity)

Salary: $300,000–$440,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead modernization of core insurance platforms and the enterprise technology ecosystem.
• Drive transformations across cloud computing, software architecture, continuous delivery, DevOps, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
• Define innovation, incubation, sourcing, talent, and technology operating-model strategies.
• Align technology investments with business priorities, cost objectives, service quality, and measurable returns.
• Coordinate complex workstreams across an approximately 850-person IT organization and a heavily outsourced, multi-vendor environment.
• Partner with the CIO and business leaders to establish IT vision, technical direction, architecture, development practices, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 20+ years of information technology experience and 10+ years of IT leadership and business transformation experience in the life and annuities business.
• Deep understanding of life and annuity operations, including new business, underwriting, claims, in-force management, product development, actuarial analysis, and investment management.
• Successful delivery of major technology transformation programs and modern, heavily cloud-based environments.
• Experience with architecture, application software delivery, infrastructure, security, data, financial management, and technology vendor partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, plus an MBA or master’s degree.
