Franchise Accountant

Location: Support Center, 17725 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas, United States. Hybrid and in-office schedule, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays after the training period.

Salary: USD 65,000–80,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for up to fifteen franchise locations.
• Perform month-end closings in line with company guidelines.
• Complete bank, credit card, inventory, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Analyze accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany balances.
• Prepare sales and use tax returns, property tax renditions, and related account analyses.
• Answer franchisee inquiries, resolve accounting discrepancies, assist with payroll, and support special projects.

Requirements

• Accounting education and/or 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, including fixed assets and accruals.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel.
• Experience maintaining multiple sets of company books.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kinetic or Expensify.
• Sales tax, property tax, or multi-state accounting experience.
