Senior Accountant (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States — hybrid

Salary: $81,000–$100,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Review accounts, reconcile discrepancies, prepare supporting documentation, and maintain the integrity of accounting information.
• Manage month-end close accruals, adjusting journal entries, account reconciliations, and management presentations.
• Research unique transactions and determine, document, and present appropriate accounting treatments, including ASC 606 considerations.
• Coordinate vendor invoicing and onboarding while supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Collaborate with supply chain and engineering teams on inventory and bill-of-materials tracking for autonomous vehicle builds.
• Support financial statement preparation, audits, footnote disclosures, system implementations, internal controls documentation, forecasting, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate finance or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and exceptional problem-solving, analytical, data-mining, and Excel skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with discretion when handling sensitive financial matters.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, sound professional judgment, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Nice to have

• MBA or Master of Accounting.
• CPA certification.
• NetSuite experience.
• Inventory and fixed-asset accounting experience.
• Experience using Google Suite.
